Here are some of our past projects, each of which turned out beautifully and left our clients overwhelmingly pleased with the results.
The Akey School House, now a museum, is a historic one-room schoolhouse located near Twin Bluffs, Wisconsin. It represents a significant part of the local educational history, dating back to a time when one-room schools were the norm in rural areas. This schoolhouse was one of the many such institutions that operated in Richland County when it opened in 1877 and it served the community until it closed in 1960.
We were chosen by the Richland Center Historical Society to scrape and repaint the historic Akey School House. The Historical Society needed a company capable of dedicating the extensive hours and care required to address the severely peeling paint and preserve the 100+ year-old siding.
Our team of experienced and skilled painters undertook the meticulous task of scraping every square inch of the siding. In addition to scraping, they caulked and filled holes and cracks in the siding, ensuring a protective surface ready for painting. This thorough preparation not only revitalized the appearance of the schoolhouse but also helped preserve its structural integrity for years to come.
You can go check out our work and visit the museum for yourself at 31287 County TB, Lone Rock. It houses various artifacts and exhibits related to the 110 one-room schools that once operated in Richland County, making it a valuable resource for understanding local educational history.
